Menichetti glues & adhesives was founded in 1950 by Vincenzo Menichetti and is still managed today by his family. It stood out since its inception for the production of protein based glues.
New life
In 1990, having regard to the evolution of the market conditions, Menichetti decided to give up production of hide glue as raw material in order to concentrate on the development of the traditional animal glues. Menichetti presents a wide range of composition glues in dried and jelly form, characterized by high tack, clean running, layflat properties and with the added bonus of being environment-friendly.
Thanks to our historical relations with the most well-known Italian machine manufacturers in the book-binding and box covering business (CMC Italia, Emmeci, Europrogetti, Samed Innovazioni, Zechini Gra.for) and thanks to the quality of our products, we can optimize them to suit both the machine producers as well as the end users.

The deep knowledge of the manufacture of animal glue as raw material along with very close relationships with worldwide animal glue experts enables the company to have a constant control on the raw material, and to select very carefully raw material sources all over the world. The building of a new factory in 2001 and the subsequent extension works in 2009 allowed Menichetti to expand production capacity and to add to its range a new line of water-based glues. The homo-polymers, co-polymers and acrylic water-based adhesives are intended for many applications in the paper and packaging, converting and bookbinding industries.

In anticipation of a company growth, as the third enlargement of its structure, Menichetti glues and adhesives in 2017 acquired about 4000 square meters of the neighbouring land.
In January 2020, the construction of a new wing of the company has been completed, with the function of enlargement of the warehouse.
